When you think of salad dressing, your first thought is probably about something that is bought in a grocery store. I always bought mine there, and if there wasn’t any at home, I would genuinely skip the salad. What a waste!

Thanks to Pinterest, I have become a little obsessed with all things French, the lifestyle, the fashion, and of course the clothes. I came across a great cooking tip (or mixing tip?) for salad dressing. It is so simple and easy I am sad that i didn’t come across it sooner. The simplicity of oil, vinegar and some salt is magical.

This recipe works well with sunflower or olive oil, and it can have many variations. This recipe below is the most basic version, and most people seem to like this one.

Other variations include adding mustard seeds and honey, adding in garlic and also chili. The most basic version is a decent olive oil, vinegar and a good quality mustard.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon mustard

3 tablespoons white vinegar

50ml olive oil

Pinch of salt

Fresh black pepper

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients together with a whisk.

Serve room temperature or cold.

Can be stored in the fridge for 3 days.
